WBZ TV’s Mish Michaels met with members of the WeatherFlow team at Scituate, MA to discuss completion of the WeatherFlow Hurricane Network. Jeffrey Johnson and Bryan Conrad were filmed installing the instruments atop the pole at the entrance to Scituate Harbor. WeatherFlow Meteorologist and Hurricane Network Coordinator David Morris was on hand to explain the hurricane hardened aspect of the station and the role of the station in the network as a whole. Vin Kalishes, Town of Scituate Conservation Agent, explained how the weather station has been welcomed on a local level, and its importance to local emergency management groups, fire department, police department and the harbormaster. He also explained the synergies between WeatherFlow’s collection of meteorological data at the coast and the Coastal Inundation Study that the Town of Scituate is currently taking part in.You can see the interview with David Morris or view it on WBZ’s web page.
