WeatherFlow has installed two additional weather stations offshore of Annapolis, MD.
These stations are located at Greenbury Point and Tolly point and are on fixed aids on the Bay. The readings from them are absolutely unblocked in all directions. The main focus of the installs was in support of WeatherFlow’s website Sailflow.com aimed at recreational sailors to support the active sailing venue that resides in and around Annapolis. Combined with existing sensors in the area of Sandy Point, Kent Island, and Annapolis Harbor (A new buoy sensor from a joint experiment with NOAA), these new stations provide one of the tightest coverages of anywhere in the WeatherFlow network.
