Position Overview
The Weather Network Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive logistical management and monitoring of the Enterprise TempestOne (T1) weather station networks. This role is crucial for ensuring network reliability, optimizing field service operations, and maintaining high customer satisfaction for our enterprise clients. The manager will serve as the primary logistical hub, connecting customer support, field service technicians, and hardware/software development teams.
Responsibilities
Network Monitoring & Analysis:
- Utilize automated tools and a monitoring portal to track network health, including stations that are late calling in, suspect data (wind, air temperature, pressure, etc.), and station battery levels and trends.
- Manage an automated alerting and response system for critical issues.
- Analyze raw data from problematic stations to develop a “best guess” repair plan.
Logistics & Field Service Management:
- Handle all logistics related to the deployment and repair of T1 stations, including inventory tracking for upcoming installations and repairs.
- Prioritize and triage repair and installation trips to ensure customer base satisfaction.
- Deploy and manage field service technicians, monitoring their trip progress and providing necessary support during their work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with field service technicians to gather real-world feedback and inform continuous improvement of installation processes and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Customer Service team to address issues in a timely, professional manner.
- Liaise with hardware and software developers, providing essential feedback on common sensor network issues and support tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in logistical coordination or project management.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing hardware and data issues from remote equipment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Development, Field Service).
- Fieldwork experience is preferred, as it provides a valuable understanding of the challenges faced by field service technicians.
- Ability to work in or relocate to the Florida office to work directly with hardware/software personnel and the fulfillment team.
