Part-time Business Sales Position

We are looking for an energetic individual to join the Tempest business sales team remotely on a part-time basis to assist with both inbound and outbound sales activities. The successful applicant will work alongside the business sales team and independently on a broad range of sales activities. On-the-job training will provide detailed knowledge of Tempest business products and services. Compensation will be a mix of hourly and commissions based. The position will start at 10 hours per week with the potential to expand as sales grow. Position details include:

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Tempest business sales team
  • Respond to inbound business inquiries
  • Make outbound sales inquiries
  • Process hardware and service orders
  • Process international hardware and service orders
  • Process replacement orders
  • Provide customer support
  • Interface with the customer support team
  • Interface with the advanced support team
  • Assist the sales collateral and product development
  • Additional sales, marketing and support tasks as needed

Required Skills

  • Computer skills – email, Google Workspace or equivalent
  • Critical thinking – ability to understand customer problems and determine solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – oral and written

Preferred Skills

  • Customer service skills and/or prior sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of weather/meteorology
  • Knowledge of Tempest products and/or lifestyle apps

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Shopify or other online store
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM
